Captain Dave offers flounder gigging trips year-round (except during the 6 week closure) in the Aransas Pass, Rockport, Port Aransas, and Corpus Christi area. This is an adventure you’ll want to do while visiting Port Aransas! Family friendly, Captain Dave caters to all ages-young and old. Flounder gigging is done at night, all from the comfort of his custom aluminum 22’ boat. The flounder feed at night in the shallow waters along the banks and reefs. The boat quietly drifts into a sandy area or up alongside an oyster reef where the water is clear and shallow. This is when the fun begins as you start to stalk the elusive flounder!
